4 Easy Health and Fitness Tips

4 Easy Health and Fitness Tips

Summary:

In short, we all need to be healthy and fit. We each have our own reasons from looking good naked to being around for the kids, maybe the doctor ordered us too. Obesity is the leading overarching cause of death in the U.S. and I dare say most of the Westernized world.

All too often we fail to think about what we are doing to ourselves and our families. So do it for them as well as yourself.

If you need help find a workout partner or get a fitness trainer. If you look online they aren’t all that expensive and can help motivate and guide you to your health and fitness goals.

The number of Americans who are deemed fat by medical professionals has increased dramatically. Many even refer to it as an obesity pandemic. Pharmacies of all stripes are trying to offset this by marketing “quick fix” pills, powders, and lotions that don’t truly help people lose fat or keep it off.

Naturally, the diet business may also be considered in the same light. Nowadays, there are so many different diets available that you can choose one every month and still have options after a year.

What is actually required is some common sense, tried-and-true weight loss recommendations that everyone can follow, regardless of their current physical state. That said let’s dive right in.

#1  Drink more water:

Americans are far too often on the verge of dehydration, which causes their systems to resort to the water deprivation reaction rather than eliminating waste and toxins.

#2 Eat more frequently:

You probably expected me to say to eat less. While it is true that you must consume fewer calories than you burn off to lose weight, you also need to eat more frequently to keep your metabolism running smoothly.

Take it out of the survival mode. So have breakfast to start the day. Even a quick cup of coffee in the morning and a slice of fruit before we go.

#3  Move more:

Depending on your physical condition you need to be moving more. Instead of using the lift, take the stairs, park further away from the store or office, take a stroll around the block, go dancing, or play with your children. Have fun with it. There are other ways to burn more calories besides running.

#4  Finally, determine your “Why”:

Decide why you want to discard fat. Make your motivation strong enough to carry you through the inevitable downturns.

For me, the motivation was to live long enough to witness my great-grandchildren earn their college degrees. My youngest children are now 4 and 6. In addition, I wanted to play with kids outside without constantly being out of breath.
